U14 Don Bambling Cup

Wining the toss was critical and we bowled and fielded really well not dropping any catches all game. The boys learnt to adapt to the wet wicket. It was a good team effort to start the carnival. Kobe for a rookie captain is doing an excellent job of binding the team together.

From the team point of view the boys fought hard. We were proud of them making a game of it. Unfortunately we only batted for 39 overs and didn’t make enough runs. But we had the opposition worried til the end.

This team are great ambassadors for Sunshine Coast cricket being praised from the opposition coaches and families.

A great win by our lads today with Kobe Barr again solid in the middle order and and he supported with 75 runs scored by our bowlers/keeper to set a very defendable total. The spin twins then took over with The spinners wicket at Glasshouse helping our spinners take 8 wickets combined.

Another great team effort these boys know how to win in the last few overs. We are getting the reputation of a team of fighters. Another score of 40 by the skipper by Kobe Barr and well supported by Cooper Mitchel had the lads post a competitive total of 180+. A very good all round bowling performance and a couple of stellar individual fielding efforts had the boys hold on to a well earned 3rd win of the week.
