As another season of junior representative cricket comes to a close for our Sunshine Coast cricket community for the 2022/23 season, the future of our Scorchers teams has never looked brighter! We had a number of male and female players invited to represent Qld at various levels along with other representative squads through various teams within various pathways. We had a victory with our U16 QJC & Bulls Masters Youth Cup squads, a close Grand Final loss with our U15 QJC squad, and a top-4 finish with our U14 QJC squad.
With these opportunities within our junior representative program, along with our clinics and specialist programs delivered by some brilliant coaches, the Sunshine Coast is well positioned in providing quality development programs that feed into our Scorchers Male & Female Premier Cricket squads.
With many players recognising the quality development opportunities that exist along with the pathway opportunity that exists where players can be selected into Male & Female State Squads, the desire to head ‘South’ is less prevalent than ever before. With the implementation of the Scorchers Talent Development Framework in full swing the Sunshine Coast is fast becoming a destination region when it comes to cricket in Qld!
